About Me

Hi there and thanks for dropping by! My name is Linda and my pleasure is painting. I’m a self taught artist in the “naive” style. I enjoy happy colourful scenes, preferably with a few animals around.

Cats make great models. They’re natural show-offs and so much more forgiving than human models. When you paint a cat they rarely complain you made their nose too big! Having three around the house (one Havana, two rescues) I’m never short of a kitty helpers.

My second great love is history. I live in Victorian Matlock, in the Derbyshire Dales and have the good fortune to work in the remains of a 17th century country house, next door to a ruined medieval abbey, set in a Nottinghamshire country park. How lucky am I!

I am proud to be a member of The Association of British Naïve Artists, an organisation which promotes Naive Art throughout Great Britain and abroad. I also am the author of two novels set in and around Derbyshire.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my pictures.
